Acceptance
By using SwapFormat you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What the service is
SwapFormat provides free image format conversion tools that run in your web browser. No account is required and no fee is charged. Because conversion happens on your own device, the service is effectively a piece of software delivered to your browser rather than a processing service we operate on your behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site:
- To process images you do not own or otherwise have the right to modify, including material protected by copyright belonging to someone else.
- To create, alter, or falsify identity documents, financial documents, official records, or anything intended to deceive.
- To process content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, including child sexual abuse material, which we will report to the relevant authorities if we become aware of it.
- To attempt to disrupt the site, circumvent its security, or scrape it in a way that degrades service for others.
Since files never reach our servers, we cannot monitor what you convert. That places the responsibility for lawful use entirely with you.
No warranty
The tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Image conversion is a lossy and imperfect process, browser implementations differ, and results may not meet your expectations. We do not warrant that conversion will be error-free, that output will be suitable for any particular purpose, or that the site will be available without interruption.
Keep your originals. Do not use this site as the only copy of an image that matters to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, including loss of data, corrupted output, lost profits, or consequential damages. Since the service is free and processes files on your own device, any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to zero.
Intellectual property
You retain all rights in the images you convert. We claim no licence over them and never receive them. The site's own design, text, and code remain our property.
Third-party content
The site displays advertising supplied by third parties and may link to external sites. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. See the privacy policy for how advertising works here.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
